Due to both ingredients, small strawberries from wood and red rhubarb, the availability is not always easy, while the preparation of this preserve is very easy !
The small strawberries have to be put with sugar and with washed and chopped rhubarb’s stalks and let into infusion for some hours together with lemon juice. Then the whole mixture has to be put into a pot on a strong fire; after several minutes of cooking the preserve is ready.
The combination of these two products is perfect to obtain a tasty and fragrant preserve, which goes well with soft and delicate cheeses or simply for attractive breakfast.
Ingredients: Wild strawberries (32%), rhubarb (18%), sugar (48%), lemon juice (1%), fruit pectin, dextrose, acid citric.
