The land of Castello di Meleto extend around the medieval town for about 2,470 acres: of these 300 are reserved for growing grapes. Sangiovese is the main varietal used in the production of the Chianti Classico DOCG. Other varietals planted in the ’80s include Merlot and Cabernet, but since the late 90s there has been a process of replanting aimed at enhancing the traditional heritage of grapes in Tuscany, also introducing some white varieties such as Vermentino.

Intense ruby ​​red with mineral and small fruit notes, followed by ripe fruit, light hints of toasting and a slightly spicy finish. Large, warm and round, extremely elegant, voluminous and balanced. It has non-aggressive tannins, good acidity and excellent intensity in the finish.

Distillation with discontinuous type steam plant, low grade columns. The distillation plant is sealed in all its parts, all production is therefore subject to quality and quantity control. Addition of distilled water to bring the distillate to the alcohol content. 42% vol. Filtration and bottling. Aged in carats for about 1 year.
