The Classic Method Millesimato (Vintage-Dated)
A historic label of superb quality, first produced in far-off 1964, when five Trentino oenologists decided to combine their passion and expertise in the field of sparkling wine to launch this vintage-dated classic-method wine, which has won a place among Italy’s most prestigious sparklers.
Grapes
80% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir
Vinification and Maturation
The whole clusters, all from the same vintage year, are pressed very gently, and only the “free-run” must is utilised. When the initial fermentation is complete, a liqueur e tirage is added, and the wine is bottled in the classic dark-green champagne-style bottles. For the tirage, the bottles of Equipe5 are stacked horizontally in the subterranean cellars of Borgo Rocca Sveva, where the wine undergoes a slow secondary fermentation. After a maturation of over 36 months, the bottles are riddled in the traditional fashion. Finally, the bottles are disgorged and the liqueur d’expedition is added: Equipe5 is now ready to be savoured
