Olio le Donne del Notaio – Through The Generations, a Proud Homage of Our Land

The Azienda Agricola de Ferri has been in existence in Abruzzo since 1600, and several olive trees date back to that time, including some very old pollinators. Its ancient groves, extending out over the hills, offer a splendid view of the Abruzzo mountains and are caressed by the sea breeze.

Of the many generations that have succeeded one another, we are now at the third consecutive generation of women: our love for nature and been preserved and has evolved, placing our company in a different space, as if suspended in time, and reshaping ideas of authenticity and a love for the earth and its natural rhythms.

Each generation has inherited established traditions and strong values from the previous one and has constantly focused on a search for something more, something to add to improve the quality of its products.

Donna dei Ferri extra virgin olive oil is obtained from the milling of 100 % Italian olives to create a tasty and delicate blend. Sweet on the palate, it proves versatile and tasty in everyday cooking and is also perfect as a meal oil, on pasta, meat, fish, cooked or raw. Thanks to its delicate flavor it is particularly suitable for children during the weaning phase.

A condiment based on oil carefully selected in all its phases, from the care of the olive grove conducted according to the organic farming method, to the milling and bottling; intended for all consumers who particularly love this condiment.

Composition

Superior category olive oil obtained directly from olives and solely by mechanical procedures from the processing of olives of the variety of: Moraiolo 25% (percentage of presence) Leccino 25%, Gentile 20%, Olivastro 10%, Leccio del corno 5%, Pendolino 5%, Crognalegna 5%, Cucco 2%, Frantoiano 2%, Dritta 2%.

Origin of Italian olives 100%

Olives harvested from pot and globe-grown olive trees, coming from the Province of Chieti, at an altitude of about 350 m a.s.l. The soil of these areas is generally made up of medium-textured calcareous soils

Collection – Transport and Production

The olive harvest is carried out in the period between October and January, on the plant by hand or with shakers and transported using bins or boxes. The average production obtained varies from 30 to 50 quintals / ha

Extraction System

The olives supplied are processed with a continuous system at a controlled temperature: about 27 ° C, with the aid of two millstones.

Transformation of whole lemons

The lemons previously washed and cut are added in the pressing of the olives in order to facilitate the extraction of trace elements such as essential oils that pass from the peel to the oil-based dressing in a natural way
