Pistì – From an Ancient Art, Come Contemporary Sweet Delicacies
At the base there is the fragrant Sicilian zagara honey, then dried fruit and an ancient processing made of small gestures. On our side, the crunchy is also called “turruni”, or nougat, but more than anything else to associate it with the idea of “running”, that is toasting.
In the preparation and in the recipe the crunchy is not associated with nougat if not for the use of almonds. Here we prepare it using only selected dried fruit. Almonds, Hazelnuts and Pistachio, toasted and worked for a long time. Tradition, natural and simple ingredients transform this sweet into a moment of pure art.
